The mission of this website is to provide instruction in Gao style Baguazhang in traditional respectful manner to learners worldwide. The language of instruction is English. Teaching is via bi-weekly video lessons and written instructions in a private web forum. Individual feedback is provided by lineage teacher Yang Yusen based on video homework uploaded to this site by students. Submission of homework is a mandatory component of the learning process. The site is run primarily by volunteer labor, tuition is low-cost and the entire work is done on a "familial/non-profit" basis. Small student groups composed learners involved exist in various cities around the world and practice together. Other learners practice solo in locations isolated from local bagua instructers. Teacher Yang's local classes in Victoria, British Columbia are open and free-of-charge to participating distance students who may visit for correction, fellowship and training when they wish.
